The Harlan Green Dragons were well represented on the recently announced Class A All-District 6 team.
Ty Saragas was named the district’s quarterback of the year, with David Allen earning receiver of the year honors. Eric Young was selected as the best special teams player.
Dakota Morris and Cody Logan were each named to the all-district team at running back. Ryan Jones made the team at tight end, Drew Middleton joining him along the line of scrimmage at offensive lineman. Travis Laws was selected to the defensive line. Okey Boggs and Ryland Atkins were both named all-district at linebacker.
Harlan’s Andrew Brock, Cale Brock, Stephen Jones, Dalton Overbay and Nathan Young were named honorable mentions.
Hazard claimed the top honors, with Jordan Olinger named the district player of the year and Mark Dixon selected as coach of the year. Hazard’s Brandon Jones was named the district’s best running back. Ray Dixon was selected as the best offensive lineman. Kody Arnett was chosen as the best defensive lineman and Nathan Higgins was tabbed as the best defensive back. Pineville’s Andrew Douglas was named the best linebacker.
The remainder of the all-district team included: quarterback — Evan Whitaker (Hazard); running back — Tanner Mike (Pineville); tight end — Byron Asher (Pineville); offensive line — Houston Smith (Hazard) and Josh puckett (Jenkins); defensive line — Ryan Whitaker (Hazard) and Koty Sexton (Jenkins); linebacker — Jacob Roll (Hazard), Charlie Cox (Jenkins), Conner Ford (Pineville) and Josh Meehan (Hazard); defensive back — Kyle Capps (Pineville), Jamie Roan (Pineville), Josh Collins (Jenkins), Jarod Philpot (Pineville) and Nathan Stupart (Hazard); honorable mentions — Devon Asher (Hazard), Cole Brown (Jenkins), Cody Childers (Jenkins), Alex Francis (Hazard), Aaron Halcomb (Jenkins), Dalton Ledbetter (Pineville), Matt Little (Jenkins), Tyler Logan (Hazard), Jacob McGeorge (Pineville), Jalen Olinger (Hazard) and Jesse Patterson (Pineville).
