Black Mountain and Rosspoint advanced to the county fifth- and sixth-grade championship with semifinal victories on Monday.

The top-seeded Tigers defeated Evarts 47-28 in the opening contest.

Drake Ward recorded 11 points to pace Black Mountain in the win. Alex Pace and Jarrett McKenzie each added eight points in the win.

Josh Burkhart’s 19 points paced the Wildcats.

Dalton Johnson poured in 21 points to lead Rosspoint to a 59-29 victory over Wallins.

Hunter Helton recorded 17 points and Garry Henson added 13 for the Wildcats.

Tyler Cole and Jared Hawkins each had 10 points to lead Wallins.
