Reese C. “Butch” Blair, age 66, passed away at his residence in Cumberland, KY on Monday, January 28, 2013 after a long illness. He was born February 09, 1946 to the late Enoch Claude and Essie Lane Blair in Lee County, VA. Reese worked 6 years for the Cumberland Valley Rural Electric Company before owning and operating, for most of his life, the Blair Service Station. He was a member of the Lewis Creek Pentecostal Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Reese Dustin Blair; and two sisters, Nancy Blair and Betty Mandrell.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Shirley Greene Blair of Cumberland; a daughter, Shannon Blair of Cumberland; a son, Todd (Sharon) Blair of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Dylan (Leanna) Blair, Lauren Blair and Jayden Blair; great grandchildren, Caleb Blair, Katelyn Blair and Hunter Blair; and a host of family and friends who will miss him.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home in Benham, KY on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, between 6 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at 1 pm with the Reverend Ron Oplinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland.
