Neva Wilder, 83 of Harlan passed away early Saturday morning of March 9, 2013 at the Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London.

Neva was born June 3, 1929 in Kitts, KY to the late Angelo B. and Pearl Hammonds Fortney. She was retired bookkeeper for Modern Electric Co, Harlan. She was a member of the Harlan Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for Adult Ladies and sung in the Choir.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George M. Wilder.

She is survived by 2 children, Phillip Martin (Betty Sharp) Wilder and Marty Wilder all of London; grandchildren, Casey (Melissa) Wilder and Lesley R. (Merle) Watkins; great grandchildren, Hannah and Brayden Watkins, Blaine Wilder, Destanie and Kody Durham; 1 sister, Beulah McDonald of Campbellsville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and a special friend, Martha Stepp of Harlan.

Visitation was held Monday March 11, 2013 from 5 until 7:00 pm at the Harlan Baptist Church.

Funeral services followed at 7:00 pm Monday March 11, 2013 at the Harlan Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Pugh officiating.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday March 12, 2013 at the Wilder Cemetery, Rosspoint, KY with the Deacons of the Harlan Baptist Church serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Harlan Baptist Church, Kitchen Fund, PO Box 883, Harlan, KY 40831 in memory of Mrs. Wilder.
