Lorine (Jackie) Crider, age 85 of Wallins, KY entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Bluegrass Hospice Mountain Community in Hazard, KY. She was born on July 30, 1927 to Bill and Elizabeth Niday. A cherished and devoted Christian mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. She worked for Dr. T. Garrett Craft for eighteen years as a secretary. She later worked at Wallins Elemetary School for thirteen years as a secretary. She enjoyed exercising with her friends, spending time at the beach, and most of all being with her family and church family. She was an active member of Wallins Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crider, Sr. and two sisters, Ann Vaughn and Pauline Reliford.

Survivors include her daughters, Lexie (Jerma) Madon of Harlan, KY, Barbara (Howard) Alley of Vine Grove, KY, and one son, Robert (Vendetta) Crider, Jr. of Wallins, KY; one brother, Jerry Niday of Wallins, KY; six grandchildren, Robin Alley, Beth Owens, Heather Lewis, Tammy Boggs, Jerma Madon, Jr., and Bobby Crider; thirteen great-grandchildren, Riley and Allie Owens, Drew Nolan, Rydge and Lauren-Ashley Lewis, Hailee and Logan Madon, Baili, Gage, Laila and Paisli Boggs, McKenzie and Chase Crider; special and devoted friend, Bob Arrington; and a host of family and friends. Jackie’s family wishes to express a special thanks to Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY and Bluegrass Hospice in Hazard, KY for the loving care and compassion they showed during her brief illness.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with Funeral Services being conducted at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Obie Clark officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
