Andrew (Andy) Sorke, Jr., age 97 of Corbin, KY, formerly of Lynch, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 3012, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin. He was born November 20, 1915 to the late Andrew Sr. and Elizabeth Sorke in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He worked 48 years as a Foreman for US Steel Corporation in Lynch. He believed in the Southern Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son; Steven Sorke and wife, Lisa, of Corbin, KY; granddaughter, Ashlee Sorke, of Corbin, KY; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home on Thursday, January 03, 2012, between 12 – 2 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm following the visitation. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
