On Saturday, December 29, 2012 the Angels called to rest Thelma “Sissy” Brock, formerly of Wallins, KY. Sissy was born on August 14, 1932 in Leslie Co. KY. To the late AM and Rachel Brock Simpson. She was granted and blessed with a wonderful life for 80 years, as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6, honor thy father and mother and thou may live long on the earth.

Sissy left her home in Kentucky as a young and went to Chicago, IL to start her life’s journey . Along this journey she met her husband Argus and began working at Specialty Packaging with her niece, Debbie. Once the couple retired, they moved back to Wallins, KY and made their home there for many years. The past two years she resided in Tazewell, VA near her brothers and sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Argus Brock; one brother, Homer Simpson; and three sisters, Irene Johnson, Mildred Price and Nina Nantz.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Robert Simpson & wife Mossie; sisters, Naomi Rife, Carol Murphy and Faye Charles & husband Billy, and Marquette Sheybani-agdam; sister-in-law, Alice Simpson. Brother-In-Laws, Robert Johnson and Paul Nantz. And a host of nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with Minister Robert Kinder officiating. Burial will follow in the Laymon Cemetery of Coldiron, KY. Nephews and nieces will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 5-8 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
