The Harlan Green Dragons got back into the win column Saturday with a 69-53 victory at June Buchanan.

Aaron Simpson had six points in the first quarter as Harlan took an early 17-15 lead. Simpson finished with 12 points to lead a balanced scoring attack. Manny Davis and Isaiah Johnson each recorded 11 points for the Dragons, while freshman Drew Parks added 10 points.

Harlan outscored the Crusaders 23-13 in the second quarter to take a 12-point lead into the half.

June Buchanan closed to as close as four in the third quarter, but the Green Dragons held on to the lead. Harlan led 51-43 after three quarters.

The Green Dragons put the game out of reach with an impressive fourth quarter. Harlan outscored the Crusaders 18-10 in the final period to pull away for the win.

Sophomore Jawan Lynch fired in 27 points to pace June Buchanan.

Harlan (4-11) returns to action Thursday in a district doubleheader at Middlesboro. The Green Dragons upset the Yellow Jackets earlier in the season. June Buchanan (7-6) will travel to Letcher Central today.
