His parents, Steve and Nellie Sturdivant; brother, John Fred Sturdivant;and sister, Edna Nelleen preceded him in death.
Survivors include his brothers, Charles Harvey Sturdivant, Ralph W. Sturdivant, and Jerry Sturdivant; and sister, Nancy Ellen Hileman.
Interment will be Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Ingle Family Cemetery in Rosehill, VA.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
