Edith Swain, 89 of Dearborn, MI formerly of Cranks passed away Friday Feb. 8, 2013 at the Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn.

Mrs. Swain was born Dec. 24, 1923 to the late George Washington Farmer and Mary Sergent Farmer.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by, husband William T. Swain; son Philip Lee Swain; grandson Philip Lee Swain, Jr.; brothers Johnny, Glenn & Eugene Farmer; sister Irene Skidmore; and long time companion John Mocko.

Survivors include her son William (Fatima) Swain of Dearborn; sister Mildred Burgan of Cranks; granddaughter Kimberlee (Todd) DeSantis of Livonia, MI; grandson Ryan Swain of Florida; great-grandchildren Joey, Ben & Rachel DeSantis; Peggy Sue & Philip Swain; loving cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many dear friends.

Visitation was held Monday Feb. 11, 2013 from 5 – 7:00 pm Monday at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will followed at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones with Rev. Gary Craig, Sr officiating.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at the Jellico Creek Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY.

Edith's family would like to thank all the family and friends who attended her funeral. The many cards, flowers, and condolences were greatly appreciated. Also, a heartfelt thank you goes to John and Francis Jones for their compassion and care in handling all the arrangements.
