Myrtle Vanover, age 92, of Mary Alice, KY passed away on February 20, 2013 at the Harlan ARH following a long illness. She was born February 6, 1921 in Knox Co., KY to the late Jim Mack and Ethel Jones Partin. She was a retired dietary worker at the Harlan ARH. She believed in the Pentecostal Faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Vanover, 2 daughters, Donna Vanover and Ann Duff, brother, Fred Partin, sister, Helen Moore, and one great grandson.

Left to mourn her passing are her children Sandy Gross and husband, Frank of Mary Alice, KY, Jim and wife, Teresa Vanover of Cawood, KY, sister Billie Sturgill of Beaver Dam, KY, five grandchildren, Jimmy (Jennifer) Gross, Jim Mack (Liza) Vanover, Becky Jean (Brian) Faith, Lisa (Rick) Streetman, Billy (Amy) Fox, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2013 from 12-2PM at Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 2PM in the chapel of Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Grubbs and Rev. Robert Keith officiating. Burial will follow funeral at Resthaven Cemetery with grandsons and family serving as pallbearers.
