Pheobe Elizabeth Baker of Rio Vista passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 26, 2012. She was born January 15, 1945 in Cawood, KY to the late John Irvin and Vesta (Brewer) Irvin. She was a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and believed in the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one child, Mark Anthony Baker; son-in-law, Jimbo Blanton; 2 sisters, Hazel Mae Shows and Charlene Stewart.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Blanton of Georgetown, KY, Joyce Sharpe (Robert) of Thornhill, TN, Lisa Smith (Carlo) of Loyall, KY, Sharon Helton (Brian Johnson) of Loyall, KY, Leonard Baker (Meliane) of Indianapolis, IN, Keith Baker of Loyall, KY, Michelle Davis (Rick) of Baxter, KY, Janet Baker (Tim Birman) of Loyall, KY; brothers, John Wayne Irvin (Ann) of Indianapolis, IN, Green Bailey Irvin (Sandy) of Dalton, GA, Eddie Irvin (Elizabeth) of Franklin, OH; sister, Lois Swanson (Ronald) of Cawood, KY; special friend, Corrine Goldsberry of Lenarue, KY; 15 grandchildren, Jimbo, Jordan, and Jeremy Blanton, Kathy Baker, Brandi (Josh) Coleman, Brittany (James) Stewart, Samantha Smith (fiancé Kyle Simpson), Stephanie Baker, Jonathan Helton, Bailey Baker, Charli-Grace Davis, Rylynn Job Davis, Kanon Birman, Kage and Kylie Baker; 3 great grandchildren, Ethan Stewart, Kyler Blanton, and Gavin Shelburne; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland “Bo” Lee and Rev. Bill Posey officiating. Burial will follow at Irvin Cemetery in Cawood, KY with her son-in-law and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
