John C. Hall, age 69 of Cumberland passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard after a long illness. He was born to the late Clyde and Ruby Hall on September 04, 1942 in Cumberland. He was employed as a coal miner for 26 years at US Steel. He believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Cloverlick Baptist Church.

John is survived by his brother, Orville Gross and wife Carolyn of Jacksboro, TN; his sister, Tammy McQueen and Rick of Cumberland; one aunt, Margaret Lewis of Ohio; and many family and friends who will mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21, 2012, between 6 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at 2 pm with Pastors Don McKnight and Mike McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram with military rites at graveside.

Pallbearers will be Rick McQueen, Andrew Gross, Cody Lewis, Wesley Kelly, Greg Kelly and Eddie Powell.
