A US Army Veteran and certified electrician, Curtis was a member of Dorthae Pentecostal Church and the DAV in Keavy.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Eli and Nola Sanders;
Sisters, Nina Collett, Zelma Bowen, Lorene Kirby, and Imogene Lunsford; and by a Granddaughters, Maile Sanders and Mahallah Sturgill
He is survived by his Devoted Wife of 33years, Yvonne Sanders; Sons, Curtis Sanders Jr and wife Tammy, Letch Day and wife Angie, Shawn Sanders and wife Samantha; Daughter, Anna Duff and husband Pete all of Keavy; Six Sisters, Thelma Jones of Dayton, OH, Bernice Jamison of Walton, KY, Estelle Stout of Knoxville, TN, Irene Reece of Evarts, KY, Pat Beard and Sue Pearson both of Lexington, TN; Brothers, Arnold and James Sanders both of Evarts; 12 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren; and by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Dorthae Pentecostal Church in Corbin, with Rev. Billy Evans and Rev. Randall Mays officiating.
Entombment to follow in the Cornett Cemetery in Keavy with military honors
Visitation will be after 6pm on Tuesday Sept 4th at Dorthae Pentecostal Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Keavy DAV Post 158 in Keavy
