Mr. Johnny Bruce Thompson, age 67, of Chatsworth passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Thompson served two terms in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Effie Mae Thompson; son, Rick Scott; nephew, Gary Thompson; sister, Gaynell Thomas; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Dean.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Langley Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Randall & Lisa Scott, of Chatsworth; daughter, Rhonda Sutton Scott of Wise, VA; brothers, Tommy Thompson of Lexington, KY and Jack Thompson of Harlan, KY; sister, Peggy Dean of Morristown, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Scott of Wise, VA and Jacob Scott of Chickamauga, GA; nieces; and nephews.

According to his wishes, Mr. Thompson will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the services for Mr. Johnny Bruce Thompson.
