Walter Frank “Catman” Goodie, age 57 of Gulston, KY passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Harlan ARH. He was born December 13, 1954 to the late Homer and Mary JoAnn Goodie. Walter was a coal miner and believed in the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Sheila Spanski of Gulston, KY; his children, Mary Goodie of Barbourville, KY, Frank Goodie, Jr. and wife Lucy of Tazewell, TN, Dave Goodie and wife Teresa of Bristol, VA, Cody Goodie of Pansy, KY, and Brieanna Goodie of Pansy, KY; brothers, Charlie Goodie of Baxter, KY, William Goodie and wife Jane of Georgia, Johnny Goodie and wife Cherie of Georgia, Dave Goodie and wife Teresa of Bristol, VA, and Chester Goodie and wife Susan of Cawood, KY; sisters, Jean Blevins of Baxter, KY, Elizabeth Kinder of Baxter, KY, Nancy Paz and David Keller of Tazewell, TN, Rosemary White of IL, Judy Quirk and husband Michael of IL, Geraldine Goodie of Harlan,KY and Glenda Sizemore and husband Dale of Arjay, KY; grandchildren, Debra Smith and husband John of Barbourville, KY, Kenny Rigney of Ages, KY, Jonathan Rigney of Barbourville, KY, David Goodie and Naomi Goodie of Tazewell, TN; adopted grandchildren, Brianna Cornett, and Bralynn Langley; special friend, Connie Burkhart of Harlan, KY; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 after 5 p.m. at the Ages Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Ages Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Jesse Kinder and Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Day-Jackson Cemetery in Cranks, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
