Jane was born May 9, 1934 in Williamsburg, KY to the late Claude & Ethel Smith McDonald. She was a graduate of Cumberland College and Eastern Kentucky University; she then received her Masters in Education from Union College. She was an Instructor of Business at Cumberland College for 1 year and then began teaching for 35 years at the Harlan County Board of Education teaching Business. She was a longtime member of the Harlan Baptist Church where she once served as Secretary for 3 years.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Wilson.
She is survived by a host of friends, including 2 special friends, Linda Middleton and Judy Reynolds, relatives, her church family, and her “Annie”.
Visitation will be after 12:00 pm Tuesday Oct. 16, 2012 until the funeral hour at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday Oct. 16, 2012 in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Dr. John Ditty and Rev. Brandon Pugh officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Harlan Baptist Church.
