Mary Alice Helton Blanton, age 49 of Cranks, KY passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born August 24, 1963 in Harlan, KY to the late Mary Jones and Arnold Helton. She was employed as a LPN at Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She believed in the Protestant faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Helton.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Blanton of Cranks, KY; her children, Jason Clark and wife Ashley of Cranks, KY and Michelle Russell and husband A.J. of London, KY; 7 grandchildren, Austin Fuson, Sarah Fuson, Kaylee Clark, Donovan Clark, Azjah Smith, Kimberly Smith and Kelsey Smith; brothers, Danny McClain of Cawood, KY, John Paul McClain of Cawood, KY and Arnold Wayne Helton of Cawood, KY; and one sister, Betty Swanson of Sharps Chapel, TN. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Day-Jackson Cemetery in Cranks, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
