He was born December 3, 1922 in Jellico, TN, the son of the late Clifford H. and Sue Ellen Jones Baird and believed in the Baptist Faith. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Denny) Day of Topeka, IN; special friends, Jay and Sherry Howard, Dr. C.C. Moore and Dr. C.A. Moore
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with Dr. William Boyd Bingham presiding.
Military honors will be given by the American Legion Dewey Guy Post # 14 of Middlesboro.
There will be no visitation.
